OUR CHURCH'S CONTINUED RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS
This page will be dedicated for updates regarding the Ridge Church's activities and continued ministry as we navigate this new territory. You will find our latest updates, a link to the Sunday Morning Worship stream, as well as weekly devotionals and other information.
Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God and the second is very much like it: to love your neighbor as yourself. During this Covid-19 crisis, one of the greatest things we can do as believers is to show others our love and care.
So, we got creative and put some ideas down on a simple bingo card to get you going. Maybe take a few of these and add your own. See what God can do with our love!
Current Update: April 27th, 2020
We are excited to update you with our plans to begin worship services on Mother’s Day, May 10th. Our deacons and ministry team have met and are following state and local authority guidelines that allow churches to begin services. There are several temporary changes we are making in order to meet (and exceed) state and local guidelines. We also want to ensure the safety of our church family in having a positive worship experience. Here are the temporary changes for the month of May:
There will be three services (8:00, 9:30, and 10:50 a.m.). These services will be 45 minutes long, and we will be sanitizing before and after each service.
All adults (18 years and older) are to wear masks. Children are under the discretion of their parents.
Please enter through the main entrance doors only. There will be ushers seating families (those sitting together need to arrive at the same time) in the sanctuary to maintain social distancing.
We are asking everyone to maintain a six foot distance while you are on the church campus.
There will be no nursery or childcare during the month of May.
There will be no Sunday School during the month of May.
There will be no coffee and doughnuts during the month of May.
There will be no Wednesday night activities during the month of May.
We understand that the decision to attend the service on campus is a personal decision for you and your family. Please DO NOT feel any pressure from us to attend in person. To help you with this decision, we will continue streaming the worship service at 9:30 on Sunday mornings in May. Our stream will be on Facebook and YouTube. If you are not feeling well or have any underlying health concerns, please stay home and worship with us online.
Some adult small groups may meet in the month of May. Those groups will follow a set of stringent, safety guidelines. Those meetings must first be approved and scheduled by the church office.
We want to thank the Ridge family for your continued patience, your gracious financial giving, your willingness to serve in unconventional ways, and your prayers during this COVID-19 journey. We will continue to monitor local and state guidelines, keeping you informed on any and all changes that we need to make as we move forward.
